The Saturday after Mother's Day last month our ward celebrated the special day by having a Talent Show/Game Night/Dinner....in that order.
We learned that unlike back home, the tradition of having dinner first and then the activities was opposite here. We came at 5:30 sharp ready to eat, but sat around chatting for 1 hour before anything even started and our stomachs were growling loudly by the time we had dinner at 8:30!
They asked us to participate in the talent show so....
Ellie sang a song on her guitar (her groupie hanging on every word)
And Ethan sang a song on the piano....
We also got the treat of watching the Sanchez family dance an authentic Colombian dance. Such a cute couple!

We love the Blancets! Bob and Mary live here permanently and love it so much they have no intentions of ever going back to the U.S.
